Tucson Adult Entertainment: Home invasion sentence upheld

The elderly woman, according to trial testimony and court records, returned to her Upper State Road home about 12:45 p.m. to find a man, later determined to be Benson, inside her home. Immediately upon entering her home, the woman was accosted by Benson, detectives said.
Benson forced the woman into the basement and locked the door so she couldn’t escape, court documents indicate. The woman waited until Benson left the residence to escape through other doors leading from the basement.
Benson ransacked the home and then fled with the woman’s purse, wallet, credit cards, jewelry and an antique Civil War era revolver.
Within days of the robbery, detectives developed Benson as a suspect after Benson used one of the victim’s credit cards to dial an adult entertainment phone sex line based in Canada, according to court documents. Detectives traced the charge and call to a Philadelphia residence where Benson was staying.

Tucson Adult Entertainment: Palin’s views not shared by everyone

Re: Palin breath of fresh air, by Joan Jones, March 10.
Your wrote: “Sarah Palin is a breath of fresh air and an inspiration to all those who want to return to the kind of America envisioned by the founding fathers.”
Not everyone was included in this vision. Women were the property of men — fathers, husbands, employers or pimps. They had no rights, to property, to vote, to education, to disposition of their children in divorce.
Women’s prospects: Marriage, as breeding stock subject to spousal rape and abuse.
Indentured servitude — unrelenting labour, rape, beatings, etc.
Prostitution in brothels while young and clean, then the streets.
Over the years some blatantly biased left-wing governments took away the God-forgiven inalienable rights of the individual “man” and declared all people equal.

Tucson Adult Entertainment: McCain-Palin: Reunited — and It Feels So Good?

And then, of course, there is the distraction of the Tea Party Yahoos that, while ostensibly independant, have a distinct resemblance to the more unsavory elements of the GOP’s last attempts at base-building – Conservative Christian theocrats, white supremacists, nativists and garden-variety xenophobes of every stripe, topped off with a generous helping of barking-mad Know-Nothings. Add to all that a rudderless Republican National Committee, with Captain Queeg, at the helm and Republican’s are far more than a stone’s throw away from any sort of imminent comeback.
The Thrilla from Wasilla
Case in point: this past week delivered up the unforgettable spectacle of Sarah’s Revenge, featuring a leather-clad Sarah Palin, looking every inch the dominatrix, pimping for a goofily-grinning John McCain. The long-suffering Cindy McCain turned in the only star-quality performance in her memorable supporting role as the tight-lipped, clenched-jaw “good wife.” She only goes along with the program because she knows in her heart that this final ignominy will, more than likely, put the final nail in her husband’s political coffin, allowing the McCains to retire in style.

“They pull the wire out, and then they take strippers or a box cutter and strip off the insulation,” he explained.
