California is telling Arizona to legalize pot smoking to bring an end to their border drug smuggling problem and make a few extra billions in taxes. Plus Arizona could make billions more from illegal aliens driving while pot high. Don’t worry about traffic deaths, millions of illegal aliens are on the way to replace them and they all have (Free Health Care wink-wink) thanks to President Obama.
California may consider cutting Arizona some slack if they legalize what Obama’s old group Acorn started (with American tax dollars) and that is prostitution of illegal alien women and children. That would end Arizona being the sex slave trafficking capital of the world. It would also bring in a few billion dollars extra in taxes from Californian citizens being (re-authorized) back in Arizona state to conduct business, wink-wink.

The law’s supporters hope the departure of illegal immigrants will help dismantle part of the underground economy here and create jobs for thousands of legal residents in a state with a 9.6 percent unemployment rate.
Kavanagh says day labor is generally off the books, and that deprives the state of much-needed tax dollars. “We’ll never eliminate it, just like laws against street prostitution,” he says. “But we can greatly reduce the prevalence.”

True, this isn’t the first draconian immigration legislation passed by a
state that is also moving to demand future presidential candidates
provide documentation that they were born in the U.S., but it is
certainly the most hateful in that, if passed, it will put police
officers in the position of immigration officials, a concept that has
legal precedent thanks to the USA Patriot Act.
For the better part of two and half centuries, immigration
policies have been regulated by the federal government, and not by the
states. Surely, the president can find more potent language with which
to denounce legalizing profiling by skin color, and under the guise of
“questioning,” one that enables authorities to harass with the objective
of deporting those who lack requisite documentation.
Consider that from 1769 through 1882 according to a Smithsonian
Institution exhibit, the U.S. excluded only convicts, prostitutes,
idiots, and lunatics. From 1882-1943, Chinese were not allowed to
immigrate. It wasn’t until 1885 that U.S. immigration mandated that
there be “no gangs of cheap laborers,” according to a Smithsonian
Institution exhibit, and this latest Arizona law seems to reflect a
mindset we haven’t seen since 1885.

The rebirth of Miracle Mile is underway

TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) – It wasn’t very long ago the city of Tucson was so embarrassed by the words ‘Miracle Mile” that they took down the signs and renamed the street Oracle.
Those days appear to be past and Miracle Mile is in the midst of a revival.
Hotels are being renovated, businesses are beginning to appear again and the area has been ridded of drug addicts and prostitutes.
It helps that the area has a very large and visible police substation but it’s also the work of many dedicated business people like Steve Rendon.
He bought the La Siesta Hotel on the old Miracle Mile four years ago, closed it for renovations and reopened it as a boutique hotel.
 It now gets people from all over the world.

An actual small town I visited on the way back to Utah called Jerome, population maybe 400, did not give off the same vibe, however, with it’s tourist-driven prices and sights.
The history and architecture of Jerome is interesting, don’t get me wrong, located between Flagstaff and Prescott at 5,200 feet on the side of a hill, once an old mining town. The view from the top would make we want to buy property there, but the droves of tourists and shops that all sell the same stuff and play off the town’s notoriety were too much to enjoy.
The one thing I’d suggest if wanting to check out the town is the Spirit Room, a former brothel-turned-bar and music venue where locals listened to Arizona artists play on a Monday night.

This time Showbiz Spy claims that she is a “high-priced call girl” named Sammy. And allegedly Jesse lavished a whopping amount of money during the 15 month period the relationship lasted.
According to the report, the timing of the affair coincides with his time with Michelle “Bombshell” McGee, the time when Sandra Bullock was away shooting for Blind Side, the film that has won her the Oscar this year.
But my favourite part of the story is that Jesse used Sandra’s credit card to pay the hooker off. Showbiz Spy says that drugs, threesomes and lots of role playing took place.

The rally, held in Washington, D.C. last November, was “hosted” by Reps Michele Bachmann (MN), Tom Price (GA), Todd Akin (MO) and Steve King (IA). The reps split the bill of $13,600 (for a private company to arrange staging and a sound system).
The representatives used their official congressional member allowances to do so. While certainly unseemly for an anti-spending movement, it reportedly falls within the lines of the use of their budgets. Stan Brand, a former general counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives.said:
“Unless it’s billed as a campaign event, or campaign donations are solicited, or there’s a concerted program of endorsements for candidates based on party affiliation, I don’t think that they ran into any issues.”
However, this isn’t the only unseemly spending by the GOP brought to light of late. In late March, a GOP staffer was fired after a nearly $2,000 visit to a strip club.
