Tucson Adult Entertainment: Shawna Forde denies guilt but expressed remorse over murders, says expert witness

Within hours of the jury finding her guilty on Monday, Forde spoke at the jailhouse with veteran Arizona reporter Terry Greene Sterling for an article on the online news site The Daily Beast. Forde reportedly told her she can’t apologize for what happened to Gonzalez because she’s not responsible, but she does feel empathy for the woman’s loss.
Forde defense attorney Jill Thorpe asked Becker if she would be surprised to learn that Forde had “called a press conference” after being convicted in a capital murder case.
“That does not surprise me,” she said. “It shows poor judgment.”
Earlier in her testimony, Becker said Forde has a “mood disorder not otherwise specified.” She said she also found “chronic traumatic stress disorder,” as well as “personality disorder not otherwise specified, with borderline and narcissistic tendencies.”
Becker testified that narcissistic traits include wanting to be viewed “as a big deal, as someone very important” who tends to exhibit “attention-getting behavior.”
Jurors have heard testimony that Forde had a difficult childhood that included abandonment, abuse and time behind bars for burglary and teenage prostitution convictions.

Tucson Adult Entertainment: Super Bowl XLV: Feds Arrest Super Bowl ‘Porn Pirate’

The timing of the clip was certainly appropriate, airing immediately after an Arizona Cardinals touchdown.  And what better celebration than to have smokin’ hot petite temptress Tristan Kingsley get acquainted with the amply endowed and Fabio-esque uber-hunk Evan Stone?  Kingsley looks shy and timid at first, but it isn’t long before she’s greedily grabbing at Stone’s ‘tight end’ before unzipping his jeans and freeing his massive man meat for her own version of the ‘down and out’.  By adult video standards the clip isn’t much to write home about–the production values are clearly not first rate and while there is great chemistry between these performers–who rightfully rank among the most sought after sexual athletes in the adult entertainment industry–the clip is frankly too short to demonstrate Kingsley’s impressive hoovering skills or display just how hot the sex between the two sleaze superstars can be.

Tucson Adult Entertainment: America’s History of Crazy Political Assassins

The connection between cultural influences and heinous acts can be clearly identified in the case of  Bremer and his link to the film, Taxi Driver, featuring Robert DeNiro as Travis Bickle, the eerie cab driver/assassin/mass murderer.  In developing the Bickle character, Paul Schrader’s screen play shows the influence of Arthur Bremer’s own An Assassin’s Diary—a record of the musings of a troubled young man intent on violence. Art then influenced the life of John Hinckley, who saw the film multiple times and fell under its spell to the extent that, in dress and behavior, he began to take on the attributes of the Bickle character.  Hinckley’s well-known romantic interest in the actress Jodie Fosterbegan with his infatuation with Iris, the teenage prostitute Foster played in the film. One cannot say whether the final bloody scenes in the film, as Bickle rescues Iris from her pimp, were contemplated by Hinckley as he considered mass murder at Yale and, ultimately, as he opened fire on President Reagan and others on March 30, 1981.  But the influence on his general mentality is undeniable.

Tucson Adult Entertainment: Carla Carlisle on the Tucson shootings

On the day that Jared Loughner went to the Safeway supermarket in Tucson, Arizona, with a Glock 19 semi-automatic pistol, I went to Waterstone’s in Bury St Edmunds to buy Karen Armstrong’s new book Twelve Steps to a Compassionate Life. I felt a need to tone my muscle of compassion before it turned to moral flab.
Nowadays, anything sets me going: Somalian pirates; the EU Minister’s ‘discard’ policy for fishing; Bush and Blair’s war in Iraq; pimps in our towns and cities; bankers who think that banker’s remorse is for sissies. But before I’d even read the preface to Miss Armstrong’s 12-step programme, the heart of which is that compassion is inseparable from humanity, news was breaking that a 22-year-old male in Tucson, Arizona, had shot dead six people, including a nine-year-old child, and attempted to assassinate the local Member of Congress, a 41-year-old woman who happened to be Jewish and a Democrat.
