Tucson Adult Entertainment: Update on the latest news, sports, business and entertainment

The National Weather Service says the spring nor’easter isn’t typical April weather, but it isn’t uncommon. Up to 3½ inches of rain and gusts up to 30 mph are expected in New York City, while western Pennsylvania could get a foot of snow. There may also be flooding in some areas. And, as with any big storm, comes the possibility of power outages.
Major league baseball postponed games in New York and Washington and the space shuttle Enterprise’s scheduled arrival today in New York City was pushed back.
The good news is that the Northeast has been in a dry spell and, while the storm won’t wipe out the 7-inch deficit, forecasters say it should make a significant dent in it.

Tucson Escorts: Barrio For Sale

Riordan is the king of privatizers. As mayor he wanted to privatize the City’s main library. Today he is attempting to privatize the schools. In a heated exchange I asked him whether he wanted to make Olvera Street another MacDonald’s; he answered yes just so it went to the highest bidders.  Broad, a billionaire is his closest ally.
In Chicago the Daly Machine was the developers’ and bankers’ dream. In the windy city what was not being renewed was being gentrified. If it was not accomplished under the cover of the law, entire housing projects were burned out – all in the name of progress.
In the 1980s and 90s I wrote for the Los Angeles Herald Examiner and the Los Angeles Times. In the aftermath of Community Under Siege, I naturally wrote many articles about the notion of community and issues related to urban space, i.e., immigrants, the cultural pimping of Olvera Street and museums, racism and sexism on the campuses, the building of a prison in East Los Angeles, the building of a gas pipeline under Boyle Heights – events showing a profound disrespect for Latinos.

Tucson Escorts: Two Newer Plays

Touch is almost 10 years old, but has never been produced in Tucson. Astronomer nerd Kyle Kalke (Christopher Johnson) tells us—a bit too long-windedly—about his two great passions: physics and the mysteries of the universe; and his improbable romance with Zoe, a free-spirited young lady who, after several years of blissful marriage, leaves for a brief trip to the store and never returns.
Her disappearance, and confirmation that she has met with foul play, leaves Kyle bereft. He tries to lose himself in his work. He won’t speak to any of Zoe’s family, and uncharacteristically takes up with a prostitute (played by Julia Matias), who is quite bemused with the young man she calls “John Sky.” Although crushed and spiritless, Kyle is ever the student, and the cosmos has plenty to teach.

Tucson Escorts: Universal Life Church – Teenager Speaks out About Viewpoint and Actions of …

As a Christian, I don’t understand Homosexuality. Likewise, I don’t understand Same Sex Marriages.. But I don’t condemn the individual(s) who may practice it! And I don’t think a church should do so either. And, further, I don’t think though that a church should use a societal, “popular issue,” and make it their own agenda as other churches do. That is compromise as far as I’m concerned. And it’s wrong! Regarding Homosexuality and same sex marriage as a Christian I know what is right and supposed to be for myself. I know what the scriptures say:
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 – “Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.” (NIV)

Romanian man extradited from Arizona in rape case

TUCSON – A Romanian man accused in a 2008 rape case has been extradited to Italy after being arrested in Arizona.
Federal authorities said Tuesday that 34-year-old Giuliano Matei was ordered to be extradited to Italy to face charges of rape and trafficking of a minor.
He had been held in federal custody without bond following his arrest in Phoenix last Oct. 27.
Authorities say Matei allegedly threatened a 17-year-old girl in November 2008 to induce her to travel from Romania to Italy, where he forced her to steal items that he would later resell.
When she objected to stealing, Matei allegedly raped her and threatened her with prostitution. The girl was able to escape and contacted Italian police.

Three men were shot outside an east-side strip club early Tuesday morning.
The shooting happened about 2 a.m. at Ten’s Showclub at the corner North Rosemont Boulevard and East Speedway, said Sgt. Maria Hawke, a Tucson police spokeswoman.
Police received several 911 calls reporting numerous shots fired in the area, she said.
The three men who were shot took themselves to the hospital, she said. Their injuries were described by police not life-threatening.
The shooting happened as a result of an altercation between two groups or two individuals, Hawke said.
One person involved in the incident was taken into custody for having an arrest warrant, she said.

Tiger Woods made it official on Tuesday when he announced on his personal website that he would be playing next week in the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Marana’s Dove Mountain enclave.
Woods’ presence at the event will likely mean local TV stations and daily newspapers will have to double their staff coverage in order to keep track of every move the world’s most famous sex-addicted golfer makes. Whether that includes any forays into the seedier parts of Tucson is unclear.
Woods has played in four of the previous five Match Play events held in Marana, winning it all in 2008. Since then, though, he’s one only one of three matches, and missed the 2010 event while, um, marital issues.

Big changes are coming to Miracle Mile

TUCSON – Things are changing on Miracle Mile. Historical hotels are turning into new businesses and the economic outlook is looking good for the area.
Before the 1980’s, Miracle Mile flourished. It was the place to be, you might even say it was glamorous, but after that, it was all downhill. Drug dealers and prostitution took away the shine.
These days the somber tune of things is changing.
Monterey Court studio galleries just opened up on miracle mile – owner Greg Haver says over the last couple of months, business has already expanded.
“Miracle Mile certainly has a checkered past, but I think we’re trying to turn that page and go on to new and better things,” Haver said. “I’m extremely pleased with the response, it’s just overwhelming based on our Mercury Portal event.”
