Tucson City Council votes to deny liquor license recommendation for local strip club
TUCSON – The Tucson City Council voted Wednesday night to deny a recommendation for liquor license for a local strip club in south Tucson.
Club Turbulence has applied numerous times for a liquor license, but has been voted down. Wednesday night, the Council voted unanimously to deny their recommendation to the state for a liquor license.But the state could still go another way. People came out for and against the club’s request.Those against say liquor would only add to problems already at the club and the area.”That’s the gateway to Tucson and as a visitor coming from all parts of the world, to have that be one of the first things that you see has got to leave the wrong impression about who and what Tucson is,” said Carl Bedford opposing the club.
